Nomination for “Pole of the Year”
As you probably know the past year has been musically extremely busy for me. In the beginning of the year I brought out my debut album “Definitely Something” with my band the Wojtek Justyna Tree… Oh!? that has been very well received by the Dutch music press. In the spring and summer we toured in the Netherlands and in Poland performing for enthusiastic crowds in clubs as well as bigger festivals such as Jazz Festival Delft (NL) and Letni Festiwal Jazzowy (PL). The past weekend my group and I played for the first time in Germany during – Jazzmeile Thuringen and I am happy to be going back in the beginning of December for another concert tour. We will close off this year with a performance in The Hague during the State-X New Forms festival where we will perform alongside the most renowned musicians and bands of today such as Mark Guiliana, Cory Henry and Snarky Puppy.
These achievements have been noticed by the Polonus Foundation, that was setup in 2011 to help build a better image of Poland in The Netherlands, and I have been nominated by them for the Pole of the Year award in the category “Successful Young Pole”.
